| “No negotiation” with Iran over sailors: Blair
What Im afraid we cant do is end up in negotiation over hostages. What we cant do is say theres some kind of quid pro quo or tit-for-tat that goes on, Blair told ITV news. Thats not acceptable. He said Britain wanted to make clear pressure on Iran would be stepped up bit by bit by bit until the sailors were freed. This is not a situation that can be resolved by anything other than the unconditional release of all our people. Britain says Iranian gunboats seized its service members last week from Iraqi waters. Iran says the Britons entered its territory. The standoff has become increasingly acrimonious since Wednesday after London presented what it said was proof from satellite data that the incident took place in Iraqi waters, and Tehran put the captured sailors on television.

Sherry rules out deal with govt
NEW YORK: Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Sherry Rahman, rejecting reports regarding her partys deal with the government, has termed such reports a disinformation campaign of the government aimed at diverting the attention of the masses from major issues. Addressing a joint press conference with PPPP USA leaders in New York, Sherry said her party never closed the negotiation options but would not compromise on principles. Regarding the next general election, she held the view that a national government, comprising all political parties, is vital for free, fair and impartial polls. She said re-election of President Musharraf from the present assemblies would be unconstitutional. She demanded that all parties and personalities should be allowed to participate in the general election and also demanded the Election Commission be made an independent institution holding all powers.
Stalling, not talking, in Perry County
The late columnist Molly Ivins once said that politics was, "finest form of free entertainment ever invented." After watching the negotiations between Perry County Commissioners and the village of Thornville, I think she's right. The negotiations center on adding the Honey Creek area onto Thornville's sewer plant and off of the aging plant that it is currently on. Unfortunately, for the citizens of the Honey Creek area, these negotiations have not been going so well. In fact as time goes on they seem only to get worse. To understand the problems first you must look at how standard negotiations work. .
